My name is Weeda, also known as Suzie, and It has been a privilege of owning and operating Crystal Care for over 14 years. I am happily married and a proud mother of four beautiful children.
My journey in childcare began at the age of 17, and my passion for working with children has driven me to pursue various opportunities in the daycare field. I am committed to fostering a love of learning in children through nature-based activities that engage both the mind and body.
My goal is to help children develop a deep appreciation for our planet, its inhabitants, and to cultivate vibrant, active lives that are harmonious, fulfilling, and aligned with their natural potential. I aspire to nurture children into becoming loving, conscientious, and remarkable individuals who contribute their unique gifts to make the world a better place.
In 2005, I earned my Early Childhood Education Diploma and received a valid CPR/First Aid certification. While attending college, I worked at several daycare centers in Mississauga and Toronto. Upon completing my education, I accepted a full-time position at Sandalwood Center for Early Learning, where I worked for six years before becoming the owner of Crystal Care. In addition to my Early Childhood Education credentials, I further advanced my knowledge by obtaining Diplomas in Child Psychology and Child Day Care Management.
During my time at Sandalwood, I had the opportunity to work in various age groups, including the infant, toddler, and preschool rooms. I also gained valuable experience working with children who have special needs and behavioral challenges. After the birth of my second child in 2011, I transitioned to providing care within my own home, allowing me to spend more time with my children while continuing to care for others.
As a mother, my practical experience in education is deeply informed by the importance of empowering children of all abilities. I strive to help children develop a positive, can-do attitude, trust in their inner wisdom, and strong problem-solving skills. Caring for children has always been my passion, and facilitating their growth, exploration, and learning is a rewarding experience that continually inspires me. My work with children with special needs has expanded my approach to learning, enabling me to use gentle, effective strategies that encourage respect for boundaries, mutual respect, and a willingness to embrace new challenges.
Being a childcare provider has been a deeply fulfilling experience, offering me the opportunity to connect with families and children from diverse backgrounds, cultures, and experiences. It is an honor to care for the children I encounter and to positively impact their lives. My vision for the future of Crystal Care is to expand and grow, ensuring that every child within our care has a voice and is treated with the love, respect, and care they deserve, as the unique treasures they are.
